Three rows. One decision changes the game.
Getting your game ready…
On your turn, remove one or more counters from exactly one row. Whoever removes the last counter wins. This is normal-play Nim.
Each button in a row shows how many counters it removes: 1 takes one, 2 takes two, and so on. Play against the computer or share a device with another person.
The computer uses the mathematical Nim strategy: it tries to leave the XOR sum of row sizes at zero. A winning position can be lost in one move; Hint suggests a move without making it for you.
Two-player mode shares this device. There are no remote rooms, chat or player accounts. Against the computer, you move first.
In this browser’s local storage. It is not sent to a server or synced between devices. Clearing browser data or using private browsing may remove it.
Taking the most does not always win. Understand the ending first, then decide which position to leave your opponent.
